Fitting A Boat Window
In this tutorial, you will learn how to remove and replace an old boat window using a standard rubber seal and glazing tool. It should be emphasised that it is important to take accurate measurements before removing a window. Replacing and fitting a boat window is often seen as an intimidating task but with the right knowledge and tools, this can be made into an enjoyable task.
By measuring the width of the window it is possible to get the precise thicknesses of the rubber. The thickness of the window and panel should also be measured in order to create a tight fit. It is important to have an accurate size and thickness measurement so that the correct seal can be ordered.
In addition, this video illustrates a great method of reinserting a new window and seal. Still struggling? Check out the advanced tutorial at Seals direct here.
