This tutorial provides an example of resealing a topside hatch using silicone sealant and a caulking gun. This technique can be applied on windows in any location; however it is said that squirting sealant around a window is often only a temporary fix. Notably, blue tape is used because of its ability to be removed with ease and almost no sticking. 3M blue tape is the most commonly stocked in chandleries and is available in multiple sizes.
